Fri, Oct 3:  Students in period 1 analyzed the Protein Degradation gels.  Students in period 5 completed an interactive online DNA assignment, whereas students in periods 1 and 7 started the assignment but didn’t finish it.

Thurs, Oct 2: Students in periods 3, 5, and 7 analyzed gels from the Protein Degradation lab, whereas students in period 1 continued with Unit 2 Notes and discussed the Protein Degradation lab.

Wed, Oct 1: Students in periods 1 and 7 conducted the Protein Degradation lab protocol whereas students in periods 3 and 5 began the Unit 2 Notes (DNA).

Tues, Sept 30:  Students took the ELISA quiz.

Mon, Sept 29:  Students in periods 3 and 5 conducted the Protein Degradation lab protocol whereas students in periods 1 and 7 began the Unit 2 Notes (DNA).

Fri, Sept 26:  Students took the Enzyme-Substrate and Beano quiz.

Thurs, Sept 25:  Students watched a 60 Minutes segment about eugenics and Mrs. Annee discussed SDS-PAGE. 

Wed, Sept 24: Students completed HHMI’s Biointeractive Immunology Lab.

Tues, Sept 23: Mrs. Annee discussed two upcoming quizzes: Enzyme-Substrate & Beano quiz on Fri, Sept 26 and the ELISA quiz on Tues, Sept 30.

Mon, Sept 22: Students performed the ELISA lab.

Fri, Sept 19: Students took the Unit 1 quiz.  Students in periods 1 and 5 also began watching a 60 Minutes segment about eugenics.

Thurs, Sept 18: Mrs. Annee gave the pre-lab lecture for the upcoming ELISA lab.

Wed, Sept 17: Students completed and submitted the Amylase lab.  Mrs. Annee discussed the Unit 1 quiz and the opportunity for extra credit by reading a novel this semester.

Tues, Sept 16: Students graphed the Amylase data and answered the lab questions.

Mon, Sept 15: Mrs. Annee completed the Unit 1 notes and reminded students of the Unit 1 quiz on Friday, Sept 19.  Mrs. Annee discussed the Amylase lab results.

Fri, Sept 12: Students completed part IIC of the Amylase lab.  Students in periods 1 and 7 also graphed data from the Beano lab.

Thurs, Sept 11: Mrs. Annee continued discussing the Unit 1 notes (amino acid structure) and announced a Unit 1 quiz will take place on Friday, Sept 19. 

Wed, Sept 10: Students in periods 1 and 7 completed Part IIB of the Amylase lab while students in periods 3 and 5 completed part IIA of the lab.  Students in periods 3 and 5 also graphed data from the Beano lab.

Tues, Sept 9: Students completed Part IID of the Amylase lab.

Mon, Sept 8: Students began graphing and analyzing the Beano lab data.

Fri, Sept 5: Students in all class periods completed Part I of the Amylase lab.  Students in periods 1 and 7 also completed Part IIA while students in periods 3 and 5 completed Part IIB of the Amylase lab.

Thurs, Sept 4: Students in period 1 continued their review of cell parts and macromolecules (Unit 1 notes) while students in periods 3, 5, and 7 completed Part B of the Beano lab.

Wed, Sept 3: Students watched Last Flight of Bomber 31.

Tues, Sept 2: Students in period 1 completed Part B of the Beano lab while students in periods 3, 5, and 7 continued their review of cell parts and macromolecules (Unit 1 notes).
