Oct 27-31: Restriction Enzymes
Fri, Oct 31: Students celebrated Halloween by taking a quiz over DNA structure and replication (Unit 2 notes). In periods 1 and 7 students continued working on the DNA Restriction Analysis lab while students in periods 3 and 5 completed the lab analysis.
Thurs, Oct 30: Mrs. Annee discussed the remainder of the Restriction Analysis assignment and gave students a self-quiz over Unit 2 notes.
Wed, Oct 29: Students loaded and ran gels for the DNA Restriction Analysis lab. Mrs. Annee discussed answers 2-5 of the Restriction Analysis assigment. Students are to complete the remainder of the assignment for tomorrow.
Tues, Oct 28: Mrs. Annee postponed the Unit 2 quiz until Friday, Oct 31. Students prepared and incubated samples for the DNA Restriction Analysis lab and continued their discussion of restriction enzymes. Mrs. Annee discussed the set-up of Friday’s Unit 2 quiz during period 1.
Mon, Oct 27: Students finished the Unit 2 Notes (DNA Structure & Replication) and began the DNA Scissors activity. Mrs. Annee discussed the set-up of Thursday’s Unit 2 quiz in periods 3, 5, and 7.
