Mar 9-13: Mitosis & Meiosis
Fri, Mar 13: Mrs. Annee discussed the first part of Unit 3 notes over the cell cycle and mitosis. Students were given analysis questions to complete for Monday.
Thurs, Mar 12: Students counted and classified cells in an onion root tip and then calculated the proportion of time spent in interphase and each phase of mitosis.
Wed, Mar 11: Students simulated the various phases of mitosis with manipulatives.
Tues, Mar 10: Students prepared and viewed slides of onion root tips.
Mon, Mar 9: Mrs. Annee returned the Protein Synthesis quizzes and then introduced the next concept (mitosis). Students in periods 1 and 5 prepared slides of onion root tips.
