Fri, Mar 23: Students completed the Amino Acid Starter Kit activity.

Thurs, Mar 22: Mrs. Annee returned the mutations quiz and students continued working on the Bioinformatics of the Beta-Globin Gene, Part 2 activity.

Wed, Mar 21: Students took a quiz over mutations and began the Bioinformatics of the Beta-Globin Gene, Part 2 activity.

Tues, Mar 20: Students finished watching Extraordinary Measures and completed the Bioinformatics of the Beta-Globin Gene activity.

Mon, Mar 19: Mrs. Annee reviewed for Wednesday’s quiz over mutations.  Students continued watching Extraordinary Measures (period 6 completed the movie).

Mar 5-9: Mutations & Protein Synthesis

Fri, Mar 9: Students continued the Bioinformatics of the Beta-Globin Gene activity.

Thurs, Mar 8: Mrs. Annee returned the quizzes and continued discussing the Unit 3 notes.  Students began the Bioinformatics of the Beta-Globin Gene activity.

Wed, Mar 7: Students took a quiz over the Anatomy & Evolution of the Genome and Analysis of a Genome Segment labs.  After the quiz, Mrs. Annee began Unit 3 notes (protein synthesis).

Tues, Mar 6: Students completed and submitted the Analysis of a Mutant Hemoglobin Gene lab.

Mon, Mar 5: Students completed the “Mutation!: Revelations of Restriction Enzyme Cut Sites” and Mrs. Annee reviewed for Wednesday’s quiz (Anatomy & Evolution of the Genome and Analysis of a Genome Segment labs).
