Wed, Feb 1 (Day 1): Students took a quiz over DNA Replication & Sequencing.

Tues, Jan 31 (Day 5): Ms. Annee finished the discussion of the GM Foods lab and students analyzed their gels.

Mon, Jan 30 (Day 4): Students in periods 1, 3, and 7 completed Lesson 3 of the GM Foods lab.  Period 5 did not have class due to the senior class Mass.

Jan 23-27: PCR

Fri, Jan 27 (Day 3; altered schedule): Ms. Annee reviewed for the DNA Replication & Sequencing quiz that will be given on Wed, Feb 1.  Students in period 5 also loaded gels (Lesson 3 of the GM Foods lab)

Thurs, Jan 26 (Day 2):  Students completed the paper PCR activity and Ms. Annee began discussing the GM Foods lab.

Wed, Jan 25 (Day 1):  Students completed Lesson 2 (PCR) of the GM Foods lab.

Tues, Jan 24 (Day 5; 2-hour delay): Students completed Lesson 1 (DNA extraction) of the GM Foods lab.

Mon, Jan 23 (Day 4):  Students began the paper PCR activity.

Jan 16-20: DNA Sequencing

Fri, Jan 20 (Day 3): Students watched The Family That Walks on All Fours (blog reflection is due Thurs, Jan 26)

Thurs, Jan 19 (Day 2): Students completed the “Assembling a DNA Sequence” activity and began the PCR activity.

Wed, Jan 18 (Day 1): Students began the “Assembling a DNA Sequence” activity.

Tues, Jan 17 (Day 5): Make-up day for students who were on Kairos, etc.

Fri, Jan 13 (Day 4, altered schedule): Students watched two TED talks.

Thurs, Jan 12 (Day 3): Students learned how to read an electropherogram and completed “The Colors of DNA” activity.

Wed, Jan 11 (Day 2): Students completed the “The BLASTn DNA!” activity and Ms. Annee gave notes over DNA sequencing.

Tues, Jan 10 (Day 1): Students read an autorad and began the “The BLASTn DNA!” activity.

Mon, Jan 9 (Day 5): Students completed the “DNA Sequencing: The Sanger Method” activity.

Jan 2-5: DNA Replication
