CSI Arrests & Confessions
On Tuesday, May 19, four members of the BJPS faculty and staff were arrested for the murder of Jake Maloney, IT consultant.
The first arrest took place during period 1. Mr. Lenne confessed that he killed Jake because Jake wanted to take Mr. Lenne’s computer apps summer class. According to Lenne, “Mr. Maloney was bragging about knowing fortran. I was counting on teaching the summer computer apps class to finance my trip to Boston to run the marathon. Maloney was robbing me of my dream so I hit him on the head with the laptop four times. ” As Lenne was about to be hauled away, he said, “Wait, I didn’t act alone! Mr. Marshall helped dispose of the body.”
The arrest of Mr. Marshall occurred during period 3. Marshall initially escaped arrest by running out of his office door; however, he was soon apprehended. He was clearly frightened but admitted to helping Mr. Lenne and doing what he was told out of fear for Lenne. He then added, “Mrs. Elser also helped us.”
Mrs. Elser was arrested in the cafeteria during period 5 – she was initially uncooperative and kept demanding her lawyer. Several times she yelled, “Where’s Sara Compton? I need her to represent me.” Detective Castaneda replied, “Well, that’s going to be difficult since she’s retiring.” Elser refused to offer information; however, just as she was being hauled away she finally admitted that she helped Mr. Marshall and Mr. Lenne. She said, “I saw Mr. Lenne kill a man so I was very afraid of him. I knew he could kill me too so I just did what he said. Mr. Ellis also helped.”
Two detectives approached an unsuspecting Mr. Ellis outside near the gym entrance during period 7. Mr. Ellis, infamous orange air cannon in hand, resisted arrest and a scuffle ensued…the police officers were finally able to immobilize Mr. Ellis who then put his head on the ground while yelling in a heart-wrenching sob, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do it!” He stood up and again appeared agitated – he was difficult to control but he finally relented, showed some remorse, and then confessed to helping Mr. Lenne hide the body. Mr. Ellis was calmly escorted away by the police officers.

Great job.
Your crime students are doing as well as Perry Mason in court.
You may need to tell them who that was, assuming you might be old enough to know….
Bill
Awesome detective work… and very nice photographs
They really tell the story…
I think Mr. Ellis should have been tazed. Several times. I trust the DA will push for charges of resisting arrest and assault on a police officer. We’re safer with that ne’er-do-well off the streets.
