Oct 26 – Oct 30: ELISA

Mon, Oct 26 (Day 3): Mrs. Annee gave a self-quiz in preparation of tomorrow’s quiz over Unit 1 Notes, Enzyme-Substrate Simulation, Beano lab, and Protein Folding Study lab.  Mrs. Annee then began a pre-lab discussion of ELISA.

Tues, Oct 27 (Day 4, altered schedule): Students took a quiz over Unit 1 notes, Beano, Enzyme-Substrate, and Protein Folding labs.  Mrs. Annee completed the discussion of ELISA.

Wed, Oct 28 (Day 5): Students watched Bloodlines.  The blog reflection is due Wed, Nov 4.

Thurs, Oct 29 (Day 1): Students completed the Virtual Immunology Lab online.

Fri, Oct 30 (Day 2): Students completed the ELISA lab.

Oct 19-23: Proteins

Mon, Oct 19 (Day 5): Mrs. Annee finished the Unit 1 notes and began reviewing for a quiz (Unit 1 notes, Enzyme-Substrate lab, Beano lab, and Protein Folding Study lab) that will take place on Tues, Oct 27.

Tues, Oct 20 (Day 1): Students loaded vertical gels for the “Got Protein” lab.

Wed, Oct 21 (Day 2): Mrs. Annee completed the quiz review and students analyzed the “Got Protein” data and gels.  Students submitted the “Got Protein” lab.

Thurs, Oct 22 and Fri, Oct 23: Fall Break

Oct 12-16: Proteins

Mon, Oct 12 (Day 1): Mrs. Annee finished discussing the extra credit books and began discussing the Unit 1 notes.

Tues, Oct 12 (Day 2): Students began the “Got Protein?” lab.

Wed, Oct 13: No classes

Thurs, Oct 14 (Day 3): Students graphed the “Got Protein” lab.

Fri, Oct 15 (Day 4): Students created a dilution series for each milk sample and then prepared the milk samples in the “Got Protein” lab.

Oct 5-9: Cellulosic Ethanol

Mon, Oct 5 (Day 1): Students collected data for Activity 5 of the Biofuel lab.

Tues, Oct 6 (Day 2, altered schedule): Students collected data for Activity 6 of the Biofuel lab.

Wed, Oct 7 (Day 3): Students completed analysis for Activity 6 of the Biofuel lab.

Thurs, Oct 8 (Day 4): Lab make-up day.

Fri, Oct 9 (Day 5): Mrs. Annee began discussing extra credit books.
