Mar 26-30: GMOs and PCR

Fri, Mar 30: No school.

Thurs, Mar 29 (Day 5): Students took a quiz over PCR and the GM Foods Lab.  After the quiz, students conducted research in preparation for a small group discussion that will take place on Fri, Apr 6.

Wed, Mar 28 (Day 4, altered schedule): Students continued working on the “Tracking GM Mosquitoes” activity.

Tues, Mar 27 (Day 3):  Students began the “Tracking GM Mosquitoes” activity.

Mon, Mar 26 (Day 2):  Students began preparing for the GM small group scored discussion that will take place on Fri, Apr 6.

Mar 19-23: GMOs

Fri, Mar 23 (Day 1): Students completed “The Case of the Druid Dracula.”

Thurs, Mar 22 (Day 5): Ms. Annee completed the quiz review and students began “The Case of the Druid Dracula.”

Wed, Mar 21 (Day 4): Ms. Annee announced and reviewed for an upcoming quiz over PCR and the GM Foods lab.

Tues, Mar 20 (Day 3): Students completed the GM Foods lab.

Mon, Mar 19 (Day 2): Students finished watching GATTACA and worked on the GM Foods lab.

Mar 5-9: PCR

Fri, Mar 9 (Day 2): Students continued the paper PCR activity.

Thurs, Mar 8 (Day 1): Students took the DNA structure, replication, and sequencing quiz.

Wed, Mar 7 (Day 5): Students began the paper PCR activity and loaded gels for the GM Foods lab.

Tues, Mar 6 (Day 4): Ms. Annee completed the DNA structure, replication, and sequencing quiz review.  The quiz is Thurs, Mar 8 and is worth 45 points.

Mon, Mar 5 (Day 3): Students set up and ran PCR reactions for the DNA they extracted from various foods (GM Foods lab).  Ms. Annee postponed the DNA structure, replication, and sequencing quiz until Thurs, Mar 8.  She continued to review for the quiz.
