  5. What is the purpose of the stop solution?  What is the major component of the stop solution?                                         
  6. What is the purpose of microtube 10 in the experiment?
  7. What observable trend should you see in the intensity of the dye-labeled protein when viewing lanes 1-9?  Why?
  8. What observable trend should you see in the intensity of the fragments when viewing lanes 1-9?  Why?
  9. Will the dye-labeled protein or the fragments travel a greater distance in the gel?
