Fri, Dec 12: Students watched the HBO documentary called Three Sisters: Searching for a Cure about Jenifer Estess, a 35-year old woman battling ALS.  This film gives insight into the book Tales from the Bed which is one of the books students may read for extra credit during the second semester.  Learn more about ALS at the Project ALS website, an organization founded by Jenifer’s sisters.

Thurs, Dec 11:  Mrs. Annee concluded the formal review for the final exam.

Wed, Dec 10: Mrs. Annee began the formal review for final exam.

Tues, Dec 9: Mrs. Annee discussed the general format of the final exam.  Students completed an activity called “Assembling a DNA Sequence.”

Mon, Dec 8: Mrs. Annee announced that the biotech final exam will take place at 2pm on Tues, Dec 16, and distributed an exam topic list.  Mrs. Annee also distributed grade sheets and explained the formula that will be used to calculate final grades.
